C2PA (the Coalition for Content Provenance and Authenticity) Content Credentials provide an open technical standard designed to verify the origin and history of digital content.
Content Credentials enable:
- Secure metadata embedding within video files
- A tamper-evident record of origin and history
- Documentation of edits, transformations, and tools used
This metadata creates a transparent record of:
- Who created the content
- When it was created
- How it has changed over time
Because C2PA Content Credentials are standards-based, they support interoperability across platforms.
