New Live Transcription and Translation Capabilities Enhance the Webcast Attendee Experience and Extend the Reach of Video
Herndon, VA – October 13, 2020 – Vbrick, the leader in enterprise video platform solutions, today announced innovations in audience experience with the October 2020 Rev Platform Release. Live transcription and translation capabilities continue Vbrick’s focus on audience experience and extending the reach and accessibility of video. Additionally, the October release delivers enhancements to video-on-demand capabilities with expanded embedding and sharing options.
Video has become a mission-critical component of the digital workplace as more companies leverage it for communicating with employees, partners, and customers. Furthermore, companies are seeking to maximize the return on their video investments by extending the value of video across the enterprise. Many of these organizations are global and therefore require that video is delivered in multiple languages to ensure all employees can benefit. Vbrick has recognized this need and continues to innovate with enhancements to the viewer experience for live webcasts.
The Rev Cloud October 2020 Release builds on Rev’s existing webcast capabilities with support for live transcription, live translation, and other webcast attendee experience enhancements. Rev now provides the ability to add subtitles via machine transcription for live events and can translate the subtitles into 8 languages. The subtitles and translations then carry through to event recordings expanding the reach and use of on-demand content. Transcriptions can also further improve efficiency and effectiveness when users search for keywords in video content. The release also provides enhancements to the audience experience with finer control for event hosts over playback and audio for attendees.
Additionally, the Rev Cloud October 2020 Release builds on existing video-on-demand capabilities with the introduction of embedding options for more restrictive browsers and SSO (single sign-on) environments. These enhancements increase return on video investment offering greater flexibility for incorporating video content into other applications or processes. The October Release also builds on existing video distribution analytics with a centralized collection of stream data into the Rev Analytics data store.
“Our mission is to enable companies to leverage video to engage and empower their employees to transform their organizations. This release focuses on making sure an entire organization can benefit from video regardless of language or viewing needs. Video is a strategic communications asset for organizations and I am proud we continue to innovate and lead in the areas of reach, accessibility, and analytics with this latest release,” said Olivier Meyer, VP of Product, Vbrick Systems, Inc.
