New Features

Feature
Description
In This Video
You may now tag users who appear in VOD videos by using the In This Video tagging feature. Once tagged, videos showing specific users can easily be found using Rev’s rich search and filtering capabilities.
The In This Video tagging can be automated with the Rev IQ module’s Facial Recognition capabilities described below.

Rev IQ Facial Recognition
You are now able to automatically tag Rev users that appear in a recorded video and tag the points in time where they appear within the video with Rev’s IQ module. Specific Facial Recognition capabilities include:

Automatic In This Video tagging of users (with profile pictures) in a video.
Timeline tagging that displays when a tagged user appears in a video and jumps to that point. Available in both the Video Basic Information and the Video Pulse flyout panel(s).
Ability to opt-out of Facial Recognition by Individual users.
The Rev IQ module requires a separate license. Contact your account manager for details.
Note: After license activation, Account Admins must enable this feature. Facial Recognition is disabled by default. Individuals may choose to opt-out even after activation through their profile settings as noted above.
Video Pulse
Viewing VOD videos now features an interactive Video Pulse tab that highlights users as they appear in the video in real time along with transcript highlighting during playback.
Using this feature requires an SRT transcript file. Interactivity is improved when combined with the Rev IQ module’s Facial Recognition capabilities.
Webex Meeting Live Streaming
Webex meeting hosts can now, directly from their Webex Meeting client application, initiate and seamlessly stream the contents of their Webex meetings to a Rev Webcast event as well as record their meetings as Rev video on-demand recordings.
Meeting hosts can start or stop streaming at any time from the comfort of their Webex Meeting client application.
Please note that support for Webex Meeting Live Streaming must be enabled by an Account Admin first.
Note: This is a Rev Cloud only feature that requires the upcoming October release of Webex Meetings (vT39.10). DME and multicast distribution not yet supported (expected in 2020).
Rev Connect
Recent security changes related to WebRTC in leading browsers required updates to Zone configuration options and handling for Rev Connect peer-to-peer/peer-assisted distribution.
Please note that existing Rev Connect customers should revisit their Rev Connect enabled Zone configurations.
Enhanced Webcast Recording
When used in conjunction with Vbrick’s upcoming DME release (v3.22), Webcast recording now provides the ability to record across stream interruptions along with improved recording status feedback to the Event Host.
Rev and the DME now record Webcast meetings as a single video.
Recordings that experience interruptions will now have a placeholder image inserted during the interruption and playback will honor timing and slide views.
Event Hosts will see real-time notifications when there are stream drops during a recording.
Please note that this represents a change to the current Webcast recording behavior. Event Hosts are encouraged to review/edit videos that include interruptions.
Search Enhancements
The video search experience has been enhanced with type ahead auto suggestions.
Additional Enhancements
The following additional customer enhancements have been included in v7.31:

The Admin > Media Settings menu option has been updated to include a new Integrations menu. This new menu option includes all of Rev’s integration options in one easily accessible area and also includes the addition of the new Rev IQ section with the Facial Recognition feature.
The Webcast Event Attendees report now includes the number of errors experienced by each attendee during a session.
The Home page Carousels with Sidebar template background color now uses the primary color from the branding settings.

Important Notes
Please keep the following notes/caveats in mind when using the Rev platform. If you have any questions or concerns, contact the Vbrick Support staff.
Rev Cloud Specific Notes
Accessing Rev Cloud requires that end user’s browsers are able to access certain Rev URLs. Some customers leverage browser, proxy, or firewall whitelists to restrict URLs that can be accessed from an end user’s browser. For those customers, along with adding your main Rev URL to the whitelisted sites, it is important to add the data center URLs below to the whitelisted sites (or preferably add a more generic *.us.vbrickrev.com, *.eu.vbrickrev.com, *.au.vbrickrev.com whitelist rule).
Note that your welcome e-mail will contain the main Rev URL that you use to access Rev or it may be a custom URL that you requested. Those accessing our cloud-based CDN will use something similar to *.akamai.net. Contact Vbrick Support if you have any questions.
Note which data center you are hosted in to add the sites below in addition to your main Rev URL:
North American Data Center
EU Data Center
AU Data Center
Browser / Video Playback Notes
IE9 and IE10 are no longer supported browsers on Rev. Compatibility Mode settings on IE11 is supported.
Muted Playback: If your videos and playlists are set to autoplay, be aware that they will start muted. This also applies to your Webcast events in that, when an attendee joins an event, video for the event plays automatically starting muted as a result. Users can then unmute it just as with videos and playlists.
