Media Settings
Media Settings in Vbrick Rev determine how content is ingested, stored, categorized and ultimately viewed so that it is easily and intuitively found by your end users. You may use media settings to first determine what features are available and then specify how they work together to present, store, tag, and display content in Vbrick Rev.
As with all menu options in Rev, your level of access and visibility depends on your Account and permission settings.
There are nine options under the Media Settings menu:
Approval Processes — Use to create approval processes so that you can specify users and groups that must have video uploads approved before they may be viewed by other users of the system.
Approval Process Queue — Provides a view of all videos that have entered an approval process and their current stage and status.
Categories — Provides you the ability to create a classification system for your user’s content.
Expiration Management — Create content expiration rules that may be applied to uploaded videos in Rev. Rules may specify number of days before expiration or number of days without views before expiration.
Features — Lets you specify which functionality to enable in Rev that deal mainly with video settings such as categories, comments, and so forth.
Integrations — Access to set up and manage supported integrations with Rev.
Recording — Set which order Rev chooses when selecting a recording device to use when recording content.
Transcoding — Where transcoding presets are defined in your system and the encoding outputs you may produce.
Webcast Templates — Rename, set a default, and delete Webcast Event templates in Rev.
