Playback Bar
The features of Rev’s video playback bar and player are described in the table below.

Variable playback speeds; Dependent upon browser support. MP4 and HLS videos may be played at 1.0x, 1.25x, 1.5x, and 2.0x in HTML5 players. To ensure proper playback, the player must receive an https link as the playback URL.

Additional Options
Description
Indicates that a video’s sound is muted. Also acts as a toggle to turn audio on and off. Note that if videos or playlists are set to autoplay, mute is automatically turned on. This also applies to Webcasts.
Video Player Metadata and Flyout Menu Options
Directly to the right of the Video Player are Rev’s metadata and flyout menu options.
Video Basic Information panel flyout. Contains the following information about the video:
Title
Description
Total number of views (Last viewed date and time based on user’s timezone)
Uploader
Upload date
Categories the video belongs to; clicking a category will take you to the Category archive page and display all videos that belong to that specific category.
Tags the video has been assigned; clicking a tag will take you to a Tag archive page and display all videos that have been tagged with that specific tag.
Custom fields (if defined)
Inappropriate Content; the ability to report the video as inappropriate.
Approval Process stage; Only available if the video and viewer are part of an approval process.
Comments. Provides the ability to enter a comment on the video and view/sort all previously entered comments.
Sharing options. Sharing and embedding options that have been enabled for the video.
Search video subtitles for specific text, if enabled.
Playlist Management. The ability to create, edit, and manage playlists.
Chapters. Only present in those videos that have chapters defined. Allows you to view and navigate between chapters.
Reports. Displays the video reporting analytics of the individual video.
360-Degree Video Playback
Two additional playback features are present if you have uploaded a 360-degree video and are described below.
 
Note: 360-degree video playback is not supported on mobile browsers at this time.
 
360-degree directional control: Rev supports 3 different methods to pan your 360-degree video uploads:
Click and hold the an arrow on the directional control to pan the video in that direction.
You may also use the arrow keys on your keyboard.
Finally, you can click and drag on the video itself to pan in a specific direction.
Reset control: Clicking Reset returns the video to its original perspective. This is the perspective seen when the video begins playback. Reset is displayed on the directional control once you begin panning the video.
