Enable Guest Portal or Public Video Access
You can allow users to view videos from Rev without logging in to a Rev user account by enabling the Guest Portal and Public Video Access controls in System Settings. When enabled, user accounts with the ability to edit videos will have an additional Public option video access control in video settings. Shared links to videos marked as Public will not require a login to view the video.
Additionally, if the Guest Portal setting is enabled, users can be directed to the Rev Guest Portal URL, where they may view all active videos that have been designated with the Public option. Guest users will not have any access to any Rev menu functions with the exception of the Search Media, Filters, and Sort functions.

*To enable Public Video Access and the Rev Guest Portal:
1. Navigate to Admin > System Settings > Security.
2. Scroll to the Public Access section.
3. Select the Enable Public Video Access checkbox to enable the Public Access Control for videos in Video Settings. This will allow users to view the video through embedded means or through the Rev Guest Portal without logging in once they are designated Public.
4. Select the Enable Guest Portal Access checkbox to enable the Rev Guest Portal.
5. You may provide users the guest URL displayed under the checkbox for access to all videos that have been specified Public.
6. As noted, public visitors will have limited access and be able to view only those videos that are set to Public access and Active status and will not have access to any of the major menus or events.
7. If public video access is not enabled, users cannot set the access control for a video to Public. This prevents anyone from accessing a video in the system without logging in (embedded or otherwise) first and keeps videos secure.

Tip: If a user sets a video’s access control to Public, a password for guests may also be set. This password will be required before that individual video may be viewed through any public or embedded URL.
