Manage Security Settings
Security in Rev is configured on multiple tiers; user passwords, lockout settings, and session settings. This allows you to configure how stringent access to your system will be. You may also use this menu to set up single sign on if needed as well as direct your DME streams to specific zones. based on user’s location.
You must have the Account Admin role to modify these settings.
The module handles all security based configuration settings for your system.
It includes:
●— Configure user password complexity rules, including the ability to select three predefined options and custom rule configuration.
●— Define how many log in attempts a user may try before being locked out by the system. This setting dictates password attempts and security question attempts when resetting a password.
●— Specify how long a user may remain inactive before being automatically logged out by the system.
● — Options to provide a Rev Guest Portal (log-in not required) and the ability to use public Webcasts and videos.
● — Specify how and where videos may be shared and embedded on social media.
●— Use to set up a single sign on configuration in Rev as the SAML service provider when setting up an Enterprise SSO system.
● — Specify Rev to point to the DME that will be able to obtain a user’s IP address so that Rev may route the user to the appropriate zone defined in Rev.
● — Enable to allow email to go to suspended user accounts.
● — Sets all DMEs to a lockdown state where playback of Live or VOD HLS assets requires Rev authorization.
● — Allows Rev videos to be placed into a Legal Hold status.
● — Allows you to display a login message to users in various languages.
