Add or Edit a Child Account
You may create multiple layers of child accounts. However, be aware that a child account is only accessible through the parent account admins that create it. Admins of other domains will not be able to access it including the root account admins.
 
*To add or edit child account:
1. Navigate to Admin > Home > Add Account button. To edit a previously existing account, click the Edit button in the Actions column.
2. Complete Account Information:

Account Name

The account name. Normally the organization name. This may not be a duplicate name under the same parent account.
Account Host Name
Yes
The IP or URL address of the account. The host name must create a unique Web address across the entire root account.
Further, it may only contain lower case letters, numbers, and hyphens.
Timezone
Yes
The timezone that the various time based settings of your Rev account will be based on.
Enable User Provisioning
 
Specify if user provisioning should be enabled for SSO.
License Type
Yes
Specifies the type of license applied to your Rev account; Users or Hours.
Licensed User Count
Yes
If your Rev account has a User license applied, the number of user accounts that may be created on the account.
Licensed Hours
Yes
If your Rev account has an Hours license applied, the number of viewing/recording hours allotted, used, and expiration dates.
3. Complete contact and billing information. See: Edit Contact and Billing Information for an Account.
4. If additional add-on components have been licensed, you may allocate them as needed/desired. See: Licensed Add-On Components.
5. Click Create. The child account will be accessible in the Child Accounts module.
 
Note: Keep in mind that child accounts do not share content with the parent account. The child account is a fully partitioned separate account.
Further, an Account Admin on the parent account will be able to access the child account features and functionality. However, an Account Admin for the child account is not able to access parent account features and functionality and is an Admin only for the child account.
Role(s):
Parent Account Admin to access and edit all child accounts and functions.
Child Account Admin to access and view specific child accounts and functions only.
