Allow Downloads for Video Backup
This setting is generally used in concert with the Allow Downloads on All Media Setting so that backups may still be allowed when editing video if downloads have been disabled globally. It is recommended that an orignal copy of a video be downloaded before editing. For those organizations with security compliance policies in place that prevent downloads, this setting may be used to allow Account and Media Admin accounts the ability to download videos for backup before editing while all other accounts are still prevented from downloading.
To enable downloads for video backup:1. Navigate to Admin > Media Settings > Features.
2. Select Allow download from the video editor for backup checkbox.
When video backup downloads are globally disabled:
●There will be no Enable Downloads checkbox on any Video Settings page.
●There will be no Download button on the Video Basic Information panel flyout.
●There will be no Downloads dropdown on the Bulk Edit interface.
●Video backups may not be made when editing videos.
●The exception to this are Account and Media Admins who will still receive the message that they may make a download backup of an original video when editing.
When video backup downloads are globally enabled:
●All accounts with edit permissions will be able to download a backup of an original video before editing.
