Add a Presentation Profile
Account Admins create Presentation Profiles to control devices for a Webcast Event. Once created, Event Admins may then assign them to the Webcast during event setup. Event Hosts can also do this but only on those events where they have also been assigned.
 
Tip: Make sure you configure your Vbrick devices before you begin adding them. See: Device Initial Configuration and Set Up
*To create a Presentation Profile:
1. Navigate to Admin > Devices > Presentation Profiles > Add a Presentation Profile button.
2. Complete each section of the Presentation Profile form and click Create.

Enter a profile Name. This is a required field and must be unique.

Enter a description that details what the profile will be used for.
Status
 
The status of the profile. When inactive, it will not be functional for use in events.

Video Source
Yes
A streaming video source must be specified for each profile. The source may be specified by selecting a predefined Encoder or custom device (See: Device Initial Configuration and Set Up topic) in the Video Source dropdown.
 
Note: If an Encoder is selected in the Video Source dropdown, the following conditions must be true:
The Encoder must be configured in Rev under the All Devices module
All slots and channels associated with the Encoder have been configured correctly
The available slots and channels are displayed in the following format: <device name>:<slot #>:<channel #>.
This is seen in the image above.
Destinations
At least one viewing destination must be defined for each profile. Multiple viewing destinations may also be defined if needed or desired.
Any of the following devices may be defined as a viewing destination:
An Encoder if that Encoder has also been set as the source in the Video Source section.
A DME that has been previously configured in the system on the All Devices module.
A manually (custom) specified destination.

Available Streams
 
Available streams on the selected device that are available to be designated as viewing streams. Click the stream to add it to the Selected Streams column. It will then be used on the profile as a viewing stream.
Selected Streams
 
Streams that have been selected as viewing streams on the profile. Click a stream to remove it. It will be placed back in the Available Streams column and no longer available for use as a viewing stream.
 
Note: An RTSP unicast stream is required for recording live Webcasts in Rev. Make sure that your stream has a keyframe interval between 2 to 5 seconds and do not use B-frames. Please see your individual Encoder (stream source) documentation for setting information.
Akamai streams are denoted by the Akamai logo.
 
Caution: Presentation Profiles may contain multiple Destinations/DMEs. Rev Connect Peer Meshes may use any HLS in the Destination/DMEs for content retrieval. In order to correctly leverage the Mesh and multiple Destinations, It is important that each Destination has the same named and sourced Live WebCast HLS stream for use with Rev Connect.
 
Tip: Streams are configured on the device when you add it from the All Devices module.
