As we say goodbye to 2016, Rev saw one more release bringing our total release count for the year to six. Moving from a quarterly release schedule to an eight-week release schedule this year forced us to make changes within our internal processes. As a result, the new schedule has made us a stronger and nimbler development organization ready to tackle the challenges of 2017 and beyond.

revportal5In this release, we enhanced our video conference integration feature to now include live streaming as a part of our webcast solution. As a result, Rev webcasts now have more choices for video sources. Larger, more formal live streaming webcast events may still leverage traditional video sources (e.g. encoders), but for every day webcasts, this new feature enables live streaming directly from SIP-accessible video conference systems (e.g. WebEx, Cisco SX, etc). The live streaming feature makes it incredibly simple to start a webcast, whether it’s for live training to remote audiences or launches to a distributed sales team. The new VC live streaming feature is a great way to extend global live webcasting capabilities to your existing video conference investments leveraging Rev’s industry-leading video distribution capabilities.

Other release highlights include a new searchable table of webcast attendees added to the dashboard section of Rev webcast reports. Another new enhancement is the ability to provision users directly to our single sign on (SSO) integration system upon successful authentication via SSO.

Lastly, we enhanced our video search with a number of new search filters so that users can easily drill down and isolate specific lists of videos. This is great when you want to find videos, for example,  by words in a title or those uploaded by specific users.

2016 was a great year for our enterprise video platform. You can recap this year’s features right here on our blog and don’t forget to check out the 2016 Gartner Magic Quadrant for Enterprise Video Content Management, where VBrick is cited as a market leader.

Have a great holiday season and get ready for another exciting year ahead.
