VBrick has a long and proud history of providing the most reliable, feature rich MPEG Encoders on the market. With a mean-time-between-failure of more than six years, our MPEG Capture Devices might out last your car, and they don’t need tune-ups and oil changes.
VB6000 Series SSM Encoding Appliance
Designed for security, surveillance and monitoring applications (SSM), the VBrick MPEG SSM product family delivers video encoder solutions that are engineered for no-nonsense performance. VBrick offers SSM solutions in both MPEG-2, MPEG-4 as well as a Windows Media video formats, in rugged appliances that support temperature ranges from -20 to 70 C. Expect the same high quality, bandwidth efficient, video; delivered in an application specific form factor
VB6000 Series MPEG-2 Encoding Appliance
MPEG-2 is the most broadly deployed standard for video encoding. When you watch a DVD you are watching video that is encoded in the MPEG-2 format. And there is a pretty good chance that the digital television channel you are watching is also broadcast in MPEG-2. So, if you are looking to distribute DVD quality IP video over your LAN, VBrick’s MPEG-2 Encoding appliances are a perfect solution.
VB6000 Series MPEG-4 Encoding Appliance
MPEG-4 Encoders, like MPEG-2's, offer the same reliability but are designed with your network needs in mind. Everyone would like to have DVD quality video on his or her network, but sometimes bandwidth is limited or you have a non-traditional IP network like satellite. MPEG-4 encoders provide the flexibility to encode at smaller bitrates while still providing crisp full-motion video.
The MPEG-4 Capture Device is also a widely used video encoding standard that is supported natively in Apple QuickTime™, Apple iPod™, Apple iTouch™ and the Apple iPhone™. And it is the common standard for video podcasting publishing to Apple iTunes™, which makes it great for reaching a broader audience.
Delivering MPEG formatted video and audio has never been easier. Whether it’s corporate training, a new product launch,
or a company-wide executive address, VBrick’s MPEG appliances enable video delivery with the broadcast quality of MPEG-2, to the bandwidth efficiency of MPEG-4, over your enterprise network or the Internet.
Digitizes and compresses a video signal for delivery over an IP network
Receives and decompresses a video stream from an
IP network with automated generation of on-screen program display (MPEG-4 only)
Serve up to 200 clients (MPEG-4 only)
Multicast live video, or continuously pump a stored video (MPEG-2), directly from the appliance
Record video that has been encoded or received over the network (MPEG-2 requires optional hard drive); recorded video may be forwarded to Video on-Demand servers for on-demand playback
Inherent sub 250ms delay and built-in video teleconferencing capabilities, including picture-in-picture, enable applications such as video telepresence. (MPEG-4 only)
VBrick MPEG appliances support NTSC and PAL video, 4:3 and 16:9 aspect ratios, a wide range of video resolutions, frame rates, and bit rates – including the ability to meter the output of the stream to fit the unique streaming requirements of any network
Complete remote configuration and management solution via SNMP, or enable automated configuration download via periodic configuration polling
